  • Volunteered with American Refugee Committee assisting an ethnic Lao family of 5 in Minneapolis for 1 1/2 years helping them deal with a new language and new culture.
  • Telephone company Community Service Team leader and member for 17 years.

Traveling, hiking, camping, back packing, golfing, gardening (flowers), reading (fiction, biographies, travelogues), biking, and cross country skiing
