A cultural organizaton, the Ukrainian Jaroslaw Society was founded in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1963 and reorganized in Chicago, Ill. in 1965. It is currently based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Society is composed of Ukrainians who emigrated following World War II from the region of Jaroslaw and the borderland west of the River Sian. The Society is typical of regional societies formed by Ukrainian immigrants.
