The history of the Soffa family, Syrian Americans, is a chronicle of the families of Amen (ca. 1873-1949), John (1877-19- ) and Anna Soffa and their respective spouses and Amen Soffa's wife's family.Amen Soffa came to the United States in the late 189s, and became a trader in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He married Nezera Kimmel (originally, Cammel), a Lebanese American, in 1901. They settled near Preston, Minnesota.
