PROVENANCE

Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallin, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.

Collection is organized into six folders: 1. Biographical data of Viktor and Heli Obet (copies from newspapers, overviews 2. Manuscript "Mälestused ja poisikesena kuuldud lood" by V. Obet (memoirs, copy from typewriting) 3. Manuscript "1940 Vene vägede sissetung Eestisse soomusmasinate kaitsel ja Eesti iseseisva vabariigi sõjaväe hävitamine" by V. Obet, 1992 (copy of typewriting) 4. Article "Meie juhime, meie vastutame..." by V. Obet (memoirs, copy from magazine "Kultuurist ja Elust" 1993); Article "Konstantin Zereni sünnist 100 aastat" by V. Obet (copy from album "Liivika võõrsil", Toronto, 1984 5. Letters from Artur Meister with handwritten writings by A.
