Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallin, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.
23.06.1923-13.11.1997 Baltimore, Maryland, USA Born in Rakvere, Estonia. Emigrated to Germany and from there to the USA. Worked as a librarian at the Library of Congress 1960-1995
Collection is organized into five folders: 1. Estonian Lore by Selve Maas (extract from "The World and I", July 1987, pp 505-515), newspaper clipping with biographical data, exlibris 2. Newspaper clippings about Estonia and Estonians 1955, 1990s 3. Same 1995-1996 4. Collected materials about Estonia and Estonians: Magazines, presentations, copies etc. 5. Miscellaneous: Membership card of Orto publishing, pamphlets, invitations, prints of Estonian diaspora.
