PROVENANCE

Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallin, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.

HISTORICAL SKETCH

25.03.1918 Born in Pärnumaa, Estonia. Wife: Elfriede (Elvi) Künnapas (nee Sokk, 1922-1982). Engineer. Participated in WWII, disabled soldier. In Germany from 1944 and in U.S. from 1951

DESCRIPTION OF THE COLLECTION

Collection is organized into two folders: 1. Correspondence, official documents and copies related to disabled soldier pension and other subsidies from Germany 1948-1984 2. Accounting documents verifying subsidies
