Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, New Jersey), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2011. Gerli Raadik and Peeter Väljas of the National Archives in Tallinn, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.
Antoni Kink was born on 04.07.1909 in parish Urvaste, Võrumaa, Estonia and died in 1977 in USA. He studied in J.Vestholm Boys Gymnasium (graduated in 1927), and with breaks in Tartu University from 1927 until 1944 in faculty of medicine, philosophy and law. In 1944, he fled to Germany and in 1949 to USA. He participated in corp. Fraternitas Liviensis. Salme Kink (maiden name Treial) was born on 14.11.1909 in parish Sootaga, Tartumaa, Estonia and died in July 1991 in USA. She studied at the Tartu Girls Gymnasium (graduated in 1929) and at University of Tartu faculty of philosophy (1929) and faculty of medicine (1929-1936). In 1944, she fled to Germany and in 1949 to USA. She participated in corp. Fraternitas Liviensis. Niine (Antonina) Kink was a public servant at the Consulate General of Estonia in New York (1946-1988).
