Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallinn, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.
21.03.1940 - 1968 Born in Tallinn, Estonia. Father: Erik Aule; mother: Aino Aule (Pikk). Emigrated to Germany with his family in 1944 and to the USA in 1955. Went to gymnasium in Oldenburg, Germany and Long Island City, NY High School. Attended Hunter College 1956 - 1958 on Varsity swimming team. Entered Yale in 1958 (intensive major in chemical engineering). Member of Saybrook (swimming captain and also on volleyball team), Yale Engineering Association, A.I.Ch.E., Russian Chorus. Graduate work in nuclear engineering in Michigan
