Collection transferred to the IHRC from the Estonian Archives in the U.S.A. (EAU) in 2003-2005. It was processed as part of a collaborative project between the Estonian Archives in the USA (Lakewood, NJ), the National Archives of Estonia (NAE), and the IHRC in March 2009. Gristel Ramler and Birgit Nurme of the National Archives in Tallinn, Estonia, worked with IHRC staff on the project.

Collection is organized into five folders:
1. Documents from 70th and 80th jubilee celebrations of Juhan Aavik: Newspapers clippings, copies from articles, programmes of concerts, reports of sales, manuscripts of presentations about Juhan Aavik (by Juta Kurman), invitations, correspondence etc.
2. Documents from 1967 - 1977, includes materials from 90th jubilee: Music sheets, manuscripts and copies of them (1967), reports, Catalogue of Works (print, 1968), newspaper clippings, personal notes, programmes of concerts, CV (1969), manuscripts of presentations (by Juta Kurman), manuscript about Juhan Aavik (by Vilma Nerep, 1974), memorial service of Alma Aavik.
3. Documents from 1979 - 1984, includes materials from 95th jubilee and centenary celebrations: Invitations, programmes of concerts, manuscripts of presentations (by Juta Kurman), newspaper clippings, copies from articles, manuscripts of articles (unauthorized), copy from statue of Juhan Aavik's Foundation, memorial service of Juhan Aavik, programme of concert and CV-s about Peeter Süda and Juhan Aavik, biographical data about Juhan Aavik, newspaper "Teataja" 21.01.1984.
4. Correspondence of Juta Kurman with several persons from 1949 - 1986.
