HISTORICAL SKETCH

Rose Ciresi, an Italian American residing in St. Paul, Minn., was active in many organizations, and particularly in local activities connected with the Catholic Church. She was instrumental in making Columbus Day a state holiday in Minnesota, and was active in the Columbus Memorial Association of St. Paul, Inc. Other activities included membership in the Summer School of Catholic Action and Holy Redeemer, St. Paul Archdiocesan Sodality Council.
